David Newton was Head of Patents Information at the British Library for twenty years. He is the author of Patents on the Internet and Trademarks: An Introductory Guide and Bibliography and has written numerous journal articles. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals and is Associate Editor of the journal World Patent Information.
