Transcendental Meditation by Donald Emerson Crim
In 1983 and 1984, Dr. Donald E. Crim PhD. took a year sabbatical from his position at Colorado State University and lived at Maharishi International University in Fairfield, Iowa with his wife and daughter. During that year, he participated in the Creating Coherence Program, worked on staff and studied MIU and the Fairfield community. After returning to CSU, he wrote this book about his experiences at MIU (now the Maharishi University of Management) and in the Transcendental Meditation movement
Dr. Donald E. Crim was educated at the Eastman School of Music, the University of Chicago, Ohio State University, where he graduated summa cum laude in 1957, and Cornell University, where he received his doctorate in Cultural Anthropology in 1973. He did field work among the Yir Yoront in Australia. Dr. Crim was instrumental in establishing the undergraduate curriculum and founding the Anthropology Department at Colorado State University. He taught at CSU from 1963 to 1997, and his specialty areas were Native American studies, South Pacific culture, Anthropological theory, linguistics and ethnomusicology
