The Transformation of Chastity James by Kathleen Morris

At the age of 22, Chastity James is ready to make her own decisions. She plans to someday run the Massachusetts family farm, where her loving father and uncle raised her. But for now, she wants her independence, even if it's temporary, so she takes a yearlong teaching job in Dodge City, Kansas. She's got a lot to learn about how things are in Dodge City, Kansas but the denizens of Dodge are about to learn a few things in return, including Charlie Bassett and Wyatt Earp. Chastity is as familiar with a horse and a gun as she is with Shakespeare. Chastity gets an education herself when she's accused of murder and escapes from Dodge City into a snowstorm with Deputy Wyatt Earp hot on her trail. She runs into a young outlaw, the secretive Beauregard Durant, and they hide out with the gypsies and actors of Julius DeMonte's Traveling Medicine Show. No one is quite who they seem to be, and Chastity's journey to safety and redemption is one you won't want to miss. Award-winning author Kathleen Morris has created another exciting tale of an adventurous woman in the turbulent American West.
