That is the price He paid in order to secure salvation for all mankind who choose to believe in Him. He is the Treasure believers seek against all odds for He promises to reward labors of love. These Treasure hunters demonstrate that indeed the Kingdom of God is like a precious treasure hidden in a field. When a man finds it, he hides it and then in his joy goes and sells all he has and buys that field. Many are selling material possessions as their opportunity cost in buying the Treasure in order to also win the prize.
