ENID BLYTON died in 1968 but remains one of the best-known and best-loved writers of children's stories. She is consistently voted number one in children's favourite author polls, and is still in the top 20 list of most borrowed library authors. She has over 600 children's books to her credit, including the Famous Five series, the Secret Seven series, the Naughtiest Girl series (all Hodder) and the Malory Towers series (available from Hodder on audio).
NORMAN WRIGHT, a former teacher, is a recognised authority on popular children's books, genre fiction and British comics, and has participated in numerous broadcasts on these subjects. His writing credits include over one hundred articles, introductions to a number of collections, and several books. As co-founder of the Enid Blyton Society, and first editor of the Society's journal, he has an extensive knowledge of Enid Blyton's phenomenal output and compiled the Enid Blyton Adventure Treasury for Hodder with Mary Cadogan.
MARY CADOGAN is a well-known writer, critic and broadcaster with a special interest in Enid Blyton. She is Editor of the monthly magazine Collectors' Digest, and author of over a dozen books about children's fiction, including biographies of Richmal Crompton and Frank Richards. 'You're a Brick, Angela!' which she co-authored with Patricia Craig, is widely considered as required reading for anyone with an interest in popular girls' fiction.
