The Trees Shall Sing! by David Paul Werner
The Trees Shall Sing Hymn Accompaniments for Organ includes 45 settings on 32 enduring hymn tunes crafted to support and uplift congregational singing. Settings are conveniently arranged in alphabetical order by tune name. They are styled to transition smoothly from harmonizations found in widely used hymnals. Some settings include introductions, key changes, multiple verses and choice of keys. By adjusting tempos and registrations, they are useful as preludes, interludes, postludes, etc., or as mini-etudes for teaching. Many settings offer ready opportunities for instrumentalists to join, and some settings can be sung in parts. They range in difficulty from sight-readable to advanced-intermediate, with an average difficulty of easy-intermediate.
