John Goddard has been a keen and dedicated angler since he was a small boy. Over the last thirty-five years he has travelled extensively and has fished nearly every country in the world. He has been a fanatical fly-fisherman since the early 1950s and he has also become an experienced sea and big game fisherman, representing England in several deep-sea international competitions. For many years he has contributed to a number of angling journals, and he is the author of ten books on his favourite subjects. He enjoys an international reputation as a fly-fisherman and an entomologist and as a skilled fly-dresser, and has many established patterns to his credit.
