Sam Lloyd was born in the north of England but now lives in Brighton where she works voluntarily on local art projects as well as painting huge murals in local schools. She has already written and illustrated a variety of very successful, fun and accessible picture books including Super Sid: The Silly Sausage Dog and Yummy Yummy (Little Tiger Press). Happy Dog, Sad Dog (Little Tiger Press) recently won the Sainsbury's Baby Book Award 2003
