Turks and Chaos by Ryan Watson

In April 2024, Ryan and Valerie Watson arrived in the Caribbean to celebrate Ryan's 40th birthday with friends. They had no idea they'd be fighting for their freedom.

A freak packing accident left hunting ammunition lodged in the lining of their luggage--ammunition they didn't know was there. What should have been resolved with a fine at customs became a nightmare: wrongful arrest, jail, and a mandatory 12-year prison sentence.

Separated from his wife and children, locked in a third-world cell, Ryan faced an impossible choice: accept his fate quietly, or fight back against a system designed to crush him.

One desperate prayer. One text message asking for help. One chance encounter that could only be explained as divine intervention.

What followed was a 70-day battle that would expose political corruption, embassy failures, and a government targeting Americans.

In the depths of despair, Ryan found unexpected allies--other Americans wrongfully detained, facing the same unjust law. Together, they formed bonds forged in crisis, turning individual desperation into a collective fight that would shake an entire government.

With his family three thousand miles away, Ryan learned what it means to wage war from behind bars. To trust God's timing when it makes no sense. To fight for justice when every authority figure tells you to stay silent.

This is the true story of how a vacation became a fight for survival. How his children brought light to an island trapped in darkness. How senators flew to a foreign country to demand justice. And how one father's refusal to give up brought hope to countless others trapped in the same nightmare.

Some battles are won with lawyers. This one was won with faith.
