Turning the Diamond by Dennis Lennon
A series of meditations exploring George Herbert's extraordinary sonnet 'Prayer', which Dennis Lennon believes is 'like a diamond with twenty-seven doors left on the latch for the seeker to enter and, following with a meditative imagination, to explore the prayer-country beyond; which is to say, to enter prayer from fresh directions'.
After missionary service in South Thailand, Dennis Lennon ministered in Cambridge and Edinburgh before becoming Bishop's Adviser in Evangelism for the Diocese of Sheffield and vicar of a rural parish in South Yorkshire. One of Scripture Union's most popular and well-regarded Bible notes writers, he is the author of Through the Bible in a Year: A spiritual journal (1997) and Weak Enough for God to Use (1999) published by Scripture Union, and The Eyes of the Heart (Triangle). Dennis lives in Rutland.
