Tutankhamun and the Golden Chariot by Damian Harvey

Young Tutankhamun is given a golden chariot, but he's not allowed to ride it outside the palace gates. How can he prove himself the greatest chariot racer? Hopscotch Histories are brand new stories in historical settings, told in under 400 words, perfect for children who are building up their reading confidence.
Damian Harvey was born in Blackpool, Lancashire, but now spends most of his time in North Wales with his lovely lady, Vicky. He has three wonderful daughters, one brilliant boy and a cat called Polly. Before he became a writer he worked as a painter and decorator, a lifeguard, a swimming teacher, and as an assistant in a record shop. He's now written more than 50 books and doesn't know how to stop. Although Damian enjoys sitting at home writing stories, he also gets let out from behind his computer from time to time and loves visiting schools, libraries and festivals to give lively, interactive performances of his stories, talk about writing and help children with writing stories of their own.
