Michael Reed is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Worcester's Institute of Education's Centre for Early Childhood. He offers courses in child development, practice-based research, and leadership to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has postgraduate degrees in Educational Research, Educational Psychology, and Special Education and is a certified teacher. He was a member of the Open University's course development and writing teams, as well as an accomplished novelist. He is especially interested in practice-based inquiry and research that evaluates approaches to improve practice quality. Reflective Practice in the Early Years (2010), Quality Improvement and Change in the Early Years (2012), and Work Based Research in the Early Years (2012), all published by SAGE, are among his co-edited works.
