Andrewes, Lancelot: - Lancelot Andrewes was born the son of a sailor at Allhallows Barking, London, in 1555 - nine years before Shakespeare. He was a chaplain to Queen Elizabeth I and died Bishop of Winchester at Southwark in 1626.
