Keith Wood was born in upstate New York and converted to Christianity when he was eleven years old, shortly after his family relocated to Miami, Florida. He attended numerous colleges and universities, including Moody Bible Institute, before graduating from Montreat College in North Carolina with a BS in Christian Missions. He was astonished when he was redirected to a profession in geology after expecting to go into full-time mission work. After earning a master's degree in geology from Virginia Tech, he went to work as an exploration and mining geologist. He continues to work for a major Nevada mining firm in gold exploration.
Over the past twenty years, Keith and his wife Patricia have been involved in home and church-based ministry. Keith employs his spiritual gifts of wisdom and instruction to mentor men in his church and community, encourage and participate in prayer, and work toward citywide unity and revival in Elko, Nevada.
