Roger King has a profound influence on UK higher education, to which he brought and international perspective. In particular, his work in steering and helping to establish the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (ILTHE) to be a professional body for all who teach and support learning in higher education has been significant. I I am pleased to recommend [it] on behalf of the ILTHE as an important text for all who are interested in broadening the horizons of strategic and policy development at tertiary level.' - Sally Brown, Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
