Up and Down New York by Tony Sarq

Tenney Frank (1876 1939) was a renowned classicist and scholar of the ancient world. Originally published in 1930, this book grew out of a series of lectures given by Frank which attempted to 'visualize a few of the early Roman writers in their response to the desires and demands of their own environment'. An introductory preface and textual notes are also included. This is a highly readable book that will be of value to anyone with an interest in the culture and society of Ancient Rome.
Tony Sarg was famous as a master puppeteer, a cartoonist, and an author/illustrator of more than a dozen children's books during the 1920s and 1930s. He was the person responsible for developing the flying helium character balloons used in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parades. Sarg opened children's shops in New York, Nantucket, and New Hope in Buck's County, where he sold textiles, wallpapers, rugs, and furniture of his own design.Jonathan Adler has his own design and furniture stores in New York City, East Hampton, Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
