Uprising by Science Writer Jake Page
The Pueblo Revolt of 1680 changed the course of history. It was the only war that American Indians ever won against the Europeans. In this new nonfiction account, Jake Page delves into the events leading up to the revolt, its aftermath, and the less well-known second revolt.
Jake Page has been a ranch hand, a hard-rock miner, an editor at Natural History and Smithsonian magazines, and a book publisher. His first four Mo Bowdre mysteries are The Stolen Gods, The Deadly Canyon, The Knotted Strings, and The Lethal Partner. He has also written hundreds of magazine articles and columns and many other books, including Hopi and Navajo (in collaboration with his wife, Susanne, a photographer). Mr. Page lives in Corrales, New Mexico.
