Michael Pacione is Professor and Chair of Geography at the University of Strathclyde. He has held academic positions in Queens University Belfast, the University of Guelph, Ontario and the University of Vienna. Professor Pacione has published nineteen books, as well as numerous research papers in an international range of academic and professional journals. His books include: Glasgow: The Socio-Spatial Development of the City (1995); Britain's Cities: Geographies of Division in Urban Britain (1997); and Applied Geography: Principles and Practice (1999).
