V Bombers by Barry Jones
V-Bombers tells of the design, development and operational careers of three of Britain's finest post-war aeronautical products. The Vickers-Armstrong's Valiant, Avro Vulcan and Handley Page Victor captured the imagination of a generation, as the 'V-Force', for between them they were the British nuclear deterrent in those difficult, early Cold-War days.
Barry Jones left the RAF to become an artist for the Inter Services Aircraft Recognition Journal folled by five years with Flight magazine and six years in the Technical Publication Dept at Vickers Armstrong. He is a regular contributor to Aeroplane Monthly. His previous books for Crowood include De Havilland Twin Booms [2004] and British Experimental Turbojet [2006]. Resident - Warwickshire
