Vagabundo by Steven-John Tait
Broken and full of anxiety, Bruno leaves home in search of solitude. Stumbling onto the vibrant community of Brisas, he forgets his quest and decides to start over here, but things don't go to plan. He is preparing to leave when a young runaway convinces him to stay. They form a close bond that is tested as shocking events begin to occur in town.
Steven-John Tait was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. He passes his time between Aberdeenshire, London and the Algarve, though he frequently travels further afield. His influences include Charles Dickens, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Jack London, George Orwell, Ernest Hemingway, Somerset Maugham, Christopher Isherwood and Gabriel Garcia Marquez among many others. He was inspired to write VAGABUNDO after a trip to a remote coastal town in Brazil.
