Valegro - Going For Gold! by Carl Hester Mbe Fbhs

Valegro Going for Gold is the fifth book in the Blueberry stories, written by one of the most admired and respected dressage riders and trainers in the world, Carl Hester.

Carl Hester rode Rubelit von Unkenruf at the 1990 World Games in Stockholm, being the youngest rider to make a British dressage squad at the time. He was Britain's highest-placed dressage rider two years later, making the final on Giorgione at the Barcelona Olympics. He went on to represent Great Britain at European Championship level on Legal Democrat in 1997 and 1999, making the final both times, and winning three national Grand Prix championships in a row on this horse. Carl was picked to ride for Great Britain on Escapado on the 2004 Athens Olympics, and he was back in the team for the 2000 Sydney Olympics on Argentile Gullet. Since then, he has won thirty-two National Championships and has trained several horses to Grand Prix championship level.
