Valley of the Kings by John Romer
The first in a series, The Black Report is a genre-defying work that blends elements of 1930's Crime Noir with 1950's Conspiracy theories and 1960's Science-Fiction and Fantasy.Modernly irreverent, The Black Report #3: Windy City Blues tells the story of Simon Black, a Paranormal Investigator living in a bleak and woeful future. Simon, on the trail of a notorious serial killer, must contend with powerful mob bosses, sinister conspiracies, extreme bondage, long falls, dark tunnels, and excursions deep into the heart and soul of a subterranean Chicago. Simon confronts demons, both real and personal, and takes the reader on a fast-paced journey through the back alleys and underbelly of a city lost in time.
Since 1966, JOHN ROMER has worked on archaeological digs in Egypt, notably the Valley of the Kings and Karnak. He oversaw the excavation of Ramasses XI's tomb for the Brooklyn Museum. The Seven Wonders of the World, Romer's Egypt, Ancient Lives, and Testament are just a few of the television series he wrote and hosted. He currently resides in Tuscany, Italy.
