William Bradley is the author of the regional best sellers The Pirate's Guide to Lake St. Clair and The Pirate's Guide to Lake St. Clair. Clair and the Lakes Around Her. He joined the Marine Marines and served in Vietnam for 13 months. The winner of the Metro Times summer fiction award and the Vermont College Excellence in Creative Writing scholarship. He has a bachelor's degree.

Burlington College, Burlington, Vermont, awarded him a bachelor's degree in writing and literature. A lifetime resident of Lake St. Clair native and proponent of animal welfare. He's sailed on the Great Lakes and taught sailing on the Atlantic.
