I closed my ears as the gunshots rang out, into the void

tray toppled as Professor Greyson threw himself away

from the wall.

As the metal tray hit the floor with a clang, scattering

needles, and antiseptic, the intruder grabbed my hand,

pulling me to my feet. He pulled me toward the door,

laying down suppressing gunfire over my shoulder.
