Marlene Wise was born in Oklahoma and grew up in an area populated by farmers, ranchers, cowboys, pioneers, and Indians. Thus began her western heritage love affair. She avidly read western fiction and worked on a cattle ranch in her teenage years. Her writing was influenced by taking courses from SWAG in Waxahachie, Texas and writing classes at South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. Inspiration from real life experiences, imagination, and creative talents, have afforded her writing pleasures about western frontier life. Marlene lives with her husband in Texas. They have one married daughter.
