Venice Deserted is an exceptional photographic report of the most beautiful city in the world under the exceptional circumstances of the Coronavirus lockdown in Spring 2020. During the Coronavirus lockdown in March, April and May 2020, Venice appeared completely deserted, as perhaps never before. Luc Carton, who has lived in Venice since 2005, took the chance to photograph the most beautiful city in the world under these exceptional circumstances. Danielle and Luc Caron have lived in Venice since 2007. In 2006 they set up the websites visit-venice-italy.com and e-venise.com; the first attracts 600,000 visits per year, while with 2.5 million visits per year, e-venise.com (4,000 pages and 50,000 photographs) is now the foremost French-language website on Venice. Honorary citizens of the city of Venice (they have received the 'Diploma de Benemerito'), Danielle and Luc own a sandolo that they learned to row standing up, Venetian-style. They regularly participate in the traditional Vogolonga rowing regatta.
