Viking Adventure by Clyde Robert Bulla

There is trouble in Toothwinkle. One night, Flossie, the Toothwinkle Tooth Fairy, saw Daisy, a local girl, dancing with fireflies in the forest. She thought it looked like fun, so she decided to join in.

Two neighbor boys heard Daisy singing and were annoyed by the nightly ritual. The boys decided that if they got rid of the fireflies, Daisy would stop. They snuck up on Daisy and the fireflies and began swatting them with flyswatters. While they missed all the fireflies, they hit Flossie, the Toothwinkle Tooth Fairy.

Daisy took Flossie home to nurture her back to health. The Tooth Fairy doctors visited Flossie and grounded her so she could rest.

This resulted in a Severe Tooth Storm gripping the city. Everyone in Toothwinkle was losing teeth at a rapid pace The only way to make it stop was to pay every creature and human for their teeth. Flossie transferred her powers to Daisy, and the rescue efforts began

Eventually, all the creatures and people in Toothwinkle were paid for their lost teeth, in their own currency, and the storm finally ended.

Daisy filled in for Flossie all summer, and in the end, decided to return to school instead of continuing her role as Tooth Fairy. In the end, her schooling led her to become a trusted dentist, especially to the tooth fairies
