Timothy Neat is a filmmaker, writer, and art historian. His book on the Highland travelling people, "The Summer Walkers," won the Michaelis-Ratcliffe Prize in 1996. His film, "The Tree of Liberty," was best Documentary at the Celtic International Film and Television Festival in 1989. John MacInnes is a Hebridean Gael and pre-eminent Gaelic scholar. For many years he was a senior lecturer and research fellow in the School of Scottish Studies at the University of Edinburgh.
