Welcome to Living on the Edge Radio... My name is Andrea Hylen and I am your host tonight. And so began the introduction of forty-four internet radio shows aired over the holidays in 2010. Twenty-seven guests and seventeen personal stories from the host. The chapters in this book are conversations rich with real stories of loss and healing, tools and resources, hope and inspiration. From the Introduction: Grieving is a multi-dimensional, illusive being at times. It seems like it would be so easy to grieve. Cry, release the feelings and move on. But, grief shows up in our lives in many ways. There are layers and layers that must be honored and healed. There is no timing or prediction of where and when it will show up. And mixed into all of the big events to grieve are the disappointments which we all have and where there are layers of grief. The loss of the part in the school play, the boyfriend or girlfriend who dumped you, the layoff from a job, the dreams that did not happen. All of the memories are inside of you waiting to be expressed and released. This Book is Part 1 of the radio shows and includes conversations with Debbie Phillips, Andrea Raynor, Jeff Brown, Carin Channing, Alan Peterson, Anna Stookey, Elizabeth St. Germain, G. Brian Benson and Betsy McMahan. The conversations focus on feeling the feelings and understanding grief, as well as, offering tools you can use to support your process of feeling, healing and transforming your grief.
