Volcano Lover by Walt Trask
Inspiration approaches me at random. I chase it as a fish pursues an iridescent lure before it disappears from the pull of its line by a mysterious force. If I seize it before it disappears, the inspiration ignites a feeling, much like bits and pieces of dreams we remember that take us to a place, and with a feeling difficult to translate. My poetry attempts to make these translations, as a musician who wraps music around lyrics and weaves voice into them to evoke feelings among listeners.
