During the past sixteen years, Dr. Taylor has worked on different programs for the Department of Defense and NASA. He is now working on a number of advanced propulsion technologies, as well as very large space telescopes, space-based beamed energy systems, and next-generation space launch concepts. Doc Travis is also a black belt martial artist, a private pilot, a SCUBA diver, a mountain bike racer, a triathlete, and the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of many hard rock bands in his spare time. He and his wife Karen, as well as their daughter, currently reside in Alabama.
