Walks of Art by Frances Barry

London is one of the world's great cities for the visual arts. Walks of Art in London has been put together for everyone curious about London and about the place of modern and contemporary art in it. It takes you on a walking tour of public works of art created by famous and by less well-known artists. It introduces you to places connected to art - museums and galleries housing great collections, public squares and parks, churches, secular buildings, and sometimes more hidden locations. And it walks you by some of the places where the artists lived, worked, studied and socialised. Each walk is designed to take about an hour, plus time to stop and view the works.
Frances Barry studied Fine Art at Brighton Polytechnic and Royal Academy Schools. She is a freelance illustrator and author, and has worked extensively for the children's publisher Walker Books, as well as for Little Angel Theatre, London Underground, Gallery Five, Battersea Dogs' Home and the Charleston Trust. Simon Harmer is an author and illustrator based in Winchester. He has illustrated for a range of clients, including The Guardian, Visit England, Hugo Boss and The National Trust.
