Water For Every Farm by Ken B Yeomans

4th edition of this book since 1993. The first to be published outside Australia. Detailing the principles, techniques and systems for sustainable development of rural and urban landscapes. Keyline methods enable the rapid development of deep biologically fertile soil by converting subsoil into living topsoil. Keyline pattern cultivation enables the rapid flood irrigation of undulating land without terracing. Incidental results are the healing of soil erosion, bio-adsorption of salinity and the long term storage of atmospheric carbon in the soil as humus. The Keyline Scale of Permanence provides a priority guide to planning the various factors of broad scale development. This is a recommended text for Permaculture students. It includes updated selections and information; from P.A. Yeomans's books: - The Keyline Plan (1954); The Challenge of Landscape (1958); (Water for Every Farm (1964 and 2nd edition 1968) and The City Forest (1971). www.keyline.com.au
Ken Yeomans is a fifth generation Australian, born in Sydney in 1947, becoming the youngest of the three sons of P.A. and Rita Yeomans. Two years after his father's death in 1984, Ken established Keyline Designs, a rural property design and sustainable agricultural consulting business of which he is the principal consultant. Ken and his wife of over 20 years, Robyn are both ordained messianic ministers who lead Beit Gan-Eden Messianic Community, which they established in 1999. www.bgemc.org. In the early 1980s, Ken, through a providential series of events, beyond the scope of this account, received a steady supply of literature and recordings on Social Credit, practical Christianity, banking, world government and secret societies that combined to provide the foundation for the understanding and proposals in this book. Credit for this information must go to Ken's father-in-law at the time the Late Jim Marsh. See www.alor.org for current information. In 1993, Ken published his first book, titled Water for Every Farm - Yeomans Keyline Plan. It is available in Australia at www.keyline.com.au and overseas through Create Space, Amazon and Kindle. It is a recommended text for Permaculture students, rural landowners and property developers. In this book, Ken blended his own experience as an agricultural consulting engineer into various key sections he selected from the original four Keyline books, written and published by his late father P. A. Yeomans between 1954 and 1971. Ken's interest in finance, economics and politics came from his father, who did not like the manipulative way banks could arbitrarily control the money supply and he had little time for socialism and its governments. This all became painfully real when Ken's mother died in 1964 and the family received a huge probate bill. Probate is a Socialist policy that levied, at the time, a 50% duty on a deceased person's estate. What made matters worse was that the bank arbitrarily halved the business' overdraft limit, which severely restricted access to money as bank credit. These policies forced the immediate sale of the family's agricultural equipment manufacturing business and shortly thereafter, the sale of several of the original showpiece Keyline beef cattle properties near Sydney.
