Gordon Corrigan (1942-2026) was commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1962. He was awarded the MBE (military) in 1996 and retired from the Royal Gurkha Rifles in 1998. He was a member of the British Commission for Military History, a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Farriers. He is the author of a number of books of military history including Sepoys in the Trenches; Mud, Blood and Poppycock; Blood, Sweat and Arrogance; The Second World War; and A Great and Glorious Adventure.
