The Way of the Explorer by Edgar Mitchell
In February 1971, as Apollo 14 astroanaut Edgar Mitchell hurtled Earthward through space, he was engulfed by a profound sense of universal connectedness. He intuitively sensed that his presence and that of the planet in the window were all part of a deliberate, universal process and that the glittering cosmos itself was in some way conscious. The experience was so overwhelming, Mitchell knew his life would never be the same.Dr. Edgar Mitchell is the founder of the Institute of Noetic Sciences and a cofounder of the Association of Space Explorers. He graduated from MIT with a doctorate in aeronautics and astronautics. He was a backup Lunar Module Pilot on Apollos 10 and 16, and he flew as the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 14. In quest of a common ground between science and spirit, he has spent 35 years studying human consciousness, psychic and paranormal occurrences. Mitchell gives talks at dozens of conferences throughout the world on a regular basis. He resides in the state of Florida.
