He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where he has been an anger and stress spokesperson for the media for the last 15 years. He is a protege of Dr. Meyer Friedman, who was co-originator of the Type-A behavior pattern. Dr. Allan is the recipient of the prestigious 2002 Timothy A.
