Robert Allan, Ph.D.
is a leading expert in the field of anger management. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where he has been an anger and stress spokesperson for the media for the last 15 years. He is a protege of Dr. Meyer Friedman, who was co-originator of the Type-A behavior pattern. Dr. Allan is the recipient of the prestigious 2002 Timothy A. Jeffrey Award, given by the APA for Outstanding Contributions to Clinical Health Psychology. He has appeared on national television, including Good Morning America, Rolanda and Day One, as well as local affiliates of all the networks. He has been a radio guest on numerous programs including Dr. Joy Brown, Bill Masur, and Kathy Novack, and has had his work covered in such national print publications as the New York Times, New York magazine, and Woman's Day. He has conducted programs at major corporations including JP Morgan Chase, The Carnegie Corporation, The Meredith Corporation, Cowan Financial Group, and Con Edison, and has lectured at The American Heart Association, The Women's Health Symposium, and many other organizations. He is now conducting seminars on anger management for adolescents and their parents.
