Way Too Many Latkes by Linda Glaser
Faigel makes the best Hanukkah latkes in Chelm, but somehow, this year she's forgotten how to make them! She sends her husband, Shmuel, to ask the rabbi for help. And in Chelm, the village of fools--oy vey!--this becomes a recipe for disaster!
Linda Glaser is the author of numerous children's picture books. After witnessing the actual Fivel speak to a sixth grade Sunday school class, she was inspired to create her first novel. His rich stories inspired her, and she felt as if she was connecting with the world of her Eastern European Jewish ancestors, who were also immigrants. Her spouse and two daughters live in Duluth, Minnesota. This is her first Houghton Mifflin book.
