Weather Eye by Howarth Lesley
Telly Craven lives on a windfarm with her parents and her young brother Race. Telly is a Weather Eye, part of an international youth club that shares information by computer about climatic conditions around the world. As the final year of the 20th century draws to a close, weird things are happening: floods, earthquakes, and force ten gales. It's during such a storm that Telly is struck by the heavy cladding of a turbine blade and has a near-death experience, leaving her with strange psychic powers. Now she is the Weather Eye with a clear, if daunting purpose - to save the world. Lesley Howarth's first novel "The Flower King" was shortlisted for the 1993 Whitbread Children's Novel Award and the Guardian Children's Fiction Award. "MapHead", her second novel, was shortlisted for the Writers' Guild Children's Book Award.| SKU | Unavailable |
