
Wednesbury Memories by Ian M Bott
In his long-awaited new book, Wednesbury Memories, well-known local author Ian Bott recalls halcyon days of neighbourly camaraderie and civic pride in an evocative journey into the history of this ancient Black Country town. He has tracked down over 240 images, many of them previously unpublished, to illustrate bygone streets and buildings, pubs and churches, industry and transport - as well as social events, royal visits and civic occasions. Many memories will be stirred by these photographs, which provide an invaluable record for future generations.
Ian Bott is a bouncer at one of Walsall's premier nightclubs; he also works at Walsall Leather Museum. His leisure interests inculde local history andbody building. Ian was born, brought up, and still lives in Wednesbury.
