Melanie Dobson is the author of seventeen historical, romantic, and thriller novels, including Enchanted Isle, Behind a Golden Veil, and Catching the Wind, which have all won Carol Awards. Melanie was the corporate PR manager for Focus on the Family and the owner of Dobson Media Group before embarking on her literary career. Her Underground Railroad novel, Love Finds You in Liberty, Indiana, received Best Novel of Indiana, and The Black Cloister was selected Foreword INDIES' Religious Fiction Book of the Year. She lives near Portland, Oregon, with her husband, Jon, and their two girls, where they enjoy hiking and camping on the coast and in the Pacific Northwest highlands.
