In 1979, John Stark began working in product development. He worked in computer-aided design, product data management, and business process optimization in the 1980s. From the mid-1980s, he has worked as a product development and support consultant, first for Coopers & Lybrand and later as an independent consultant. For the past 15 years, he has focused on assisting firms in implementing PLM. He has worked with over 50 companies throughout this period, therefore he has a lot of PLM experience in the field.
