What On Earth Can It Be? by Roger Mcgough
A very clever and funny interactive novelty picture book with a rhyming text. On every other page there is a die-cut shape - a triangle, holes, a square - and a crazy question asking what on earth could be on the other side of the shape. When the page is turned the image is revealed accompanied by a wacky verse explaining exactly what it is.Roger McGough was first published in the 1960s in THE MERSEY SOUND. He is one of today's most popular poets, writing for children & adults & performing his work all over the world. He received an OBE in 1997, the Signal Award in 1984 & 1998 and was honoured with the Freedom of the City of Liverpool in 2001. Roger lives in London.
Lydia Monks has worked in the media and as a freelance designer. She won the Smarties Prize Bronze Medal in 1999 for I WISH I WERE A DOG. Lydia lives in Sheffield.
