These books are amazing and just full of informationCould appeal to anyone of any age but I think particularly good for enquiring minds aged 6 - 10. These books will really come to life for you if you manage to catch Christopher Lloyd doing a show. He is really interesting and engaging for children and they really want to participate in sharing the knowledge! We first came across him at the Fossil festival in Lyme so were interested in this book first which shows life developing from the beginning of time through the dinosaur age, ice age, etc. Our son has spent ages poring over these books and even did his own wall book for a school project - By Karenina
Christopher Lloyd graduated with a first-class degree in history from Cambridge University. He began his career as a journalist with The Sunday Times newspaper, before setting out to write books. After his adult world history book, What on Earth Happened?, Christopher turned his attention to children’s books. He is the author of the children’s non-fiction book Absolutely Everything! and the adult non-fiction book What on Earth Happened!, and the editor of the international bestseller Britannica All New Children’s Encyclopedia. Together, his books have sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide. Patrick Skipworth studied Classics and Linguistics in London and the Netherlands, connecting the dots between ancient cultures, their histories and their languages. Today, Patrick likes to write his own stories when he can. Some of his favourite topics are prehistoric bugs, super-intelligent robots and legends from faraway places. Andy Forshaw graduated in graphic design and illustration from London’s Central Saint Martins college, and has worked on numerous online and publishing projects. Since 2010, Andy has created more than 5,000 illustrations for children’s books. When not illustrating, Andy can be found exploring the countryside on his bike. He lives in London.
