What Sam Knew by Steve Higgs
When a climber suspiciously falls to his death and a local artist has her dog stolen, both cases fall into the lap of local sleuth, Patricia Fisher … … but they should have come with a warning. No sooner does she start to investigate, than a mysterious underworld figure issues a confusing threat. What has she uncovered? Local boy, Sam Chalk, wants to help, his antics amusing but seemingly nothing more than a distraction. Does he know something though? With time running out to save the dog, and the climber’s death looking like nothing more than a terrible accident, a chance discovery will rock Patricia’s world. If only she had listened to Sam. Get ready for a new series of thrills!
"As Patricia settles into her life back home, I wondered where Steve would take thisI just loved her cruise adventures and really wasn’t sure how he would be able to continue now she was home. I needn’t have worried as he has managed to keep the adventures just as catastrophic and bumbling as before!"; "What did I dislike about this book absolutely nothing, what I loved everything, I have never heard of Steve Higgs let alone read any of his books, I started reading them as I just happened to see his books on Amazon and thought I would try one, I got in bed opened the book and was glued to it from page 1 even though there are no page numbers and I could not put it down, if you want to try a new author Steve Higgs is one to try."; "That's been one fantastic read yet again Patricia wins against all the odds Honestly if you're wanting a really great read add this to your collection you can't go wrong. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have. Thanks Steve for allowing me to read your work."
At school, the author was mostly disinterested in every subject except creative writing, for which, at age ten, he won his first award. However, calling it his first award suggests that there have been more, which there have not. Accolades may come but, in the meantime, he is having a ball writing mystery stories and crime thrillers and claims to have more than a hundred books forming an unruly queue in his head as they clamour to get out. He lives in the south-east corner of England with a duo of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, he doubts he will ever leave, the beer is just too good.
