Sally Grindley is the author of many best-selling titles including Why is the Sky Blue? (Andersen) and I Don't Want To (Methuen). Her most recent Kingfisher title, The Giant Postman, was published as part of the I Am Reading series. An accomplished anthologist, she has compiled four Stories for the Very Young collections for Kingfisher, as well as Breaking the Spell: Tales of Enchantment. She lives in Gloucestershire with her three sons. Penny Dann's reputation as an illustrator has grown steadily since graduating from the Brighton School of Art and Design.
