What Would Buddha Do? by Franz Aubrey Metcalf

Often, the relief from the cares and troubles of daily life can be found within ourselves. What Would Buddha Do? uses self-examination to discover solutions to the common daily dilemmas that dog our lives. This book is not just for Buddhists. It is for anyone who realizes they don't have all the answers. It asks tough questions about difficult situations, and provides instruction in clear, concise language to teach the reader about life as well as Buddhism.

Franz Metcalf earned his master's degree from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, and his doctorate from the University of Chicago, where he wrote a dissertation on the topic Why Do Americans Pursue Zen Buddhism? He is currently employed at the Forge Institute for Spirituality and Social Change, and lectures at California State University, Los Angeles. He also serves on the steering committee of the American Academy of Religion's person, culture, and religion group.
