A journalist who has written for many national newspapers and magazines in North America and Great Britain, he is in demand as a speaker as well as an expert. He has written many books on whisky, including The Complete Book of Whisky (Carlton) and Jim Murray's Whisky Bible (Dram Good Books Ltd). He splits his time between his homes in Kentucky and the English Midlands.
