Whose Europe? by Dennis Smith
A spectre is haunting Europe - the spectre of democracy. How can the European Union be made more democratic? In whose Europe, a team of international scholars identifies barriers to further democratisation, explore potential bridges to greater democratic participation, and analyse the long term social processes shaping the new Europe.Sue Wright qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and worked for Norton Rose for 16 years, the last half of which she spent as a partner in the international finance department. Wright began teaching public classes on international loan paperwork near the conclusion of that period. When she left the Norton Rose partnership in 1997, Wright became responsible for educating the firm's banking lawyers. In 1999, a new chance presented itself to work for Herbert Smith as the firm's legal training manager. Sue Wright founded www.suewrightonline.com, an online training website, in 2007.
Its popularity has grown since it first ran a loan documentation teaching course for Euromoney in 1995, and it has become an industry standard for training young bankers. It is also extremely popular among legal professionals. She has grown her course portfolio from two three-day courses in 1995 to many times a month for Euromoney in countries throughout the world (Austria, Brazil, England, Hong Kong, Kenya, Russia, The Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, UAE, USA, and many more) and has added more courses to her increasing portfolio.
