Wild Child by Jeanne Willis

A beautiful and unique photographic picture book for the wild child in everyone. Meet Wild Child! She’s spirited and curious. She’s fearless and free. She lives alone in a mystical, prehistoric world – the last child in a dramatic landscape, where anything could happen. Follow her through her day as she explores her world from the foot of the mountain to the heart of the wood; while she runs with the rabbits and swims with the fish – but beware of the grown-ups and sensible shoes! Join the magic and unleash the wild child in YOU!

Jeanne Willis has had a successful career working in advertising and as an author, writing over eighty picture books, poetry books, television scripts and novels for children. Her teenage novel Naked Without a Hat was shortlisted for the 2003 Whitbread Children's Book Award and Dumb Creatures was longlisted for the 2005 Carnegie Medal. Her other novels include the Goffins series, Shamanka (9781844286492) and Grandad and John (9781844288984); and her picture books include Little Big Mouth (9781844288717), Mummy, Do You Love Me? (9780744570847) and Never Too Little to Love (9780744596502). She lives in north London, N14.

Lorna Freytag has travelled the world working as a children's photographer and, while doing so, discovering her passion for children's literature. She has written and illustrated a number of picture books; Wild Child was shortlisted for the 2013 Little Rebels Children's Book Award. Lorna now lives in the west of Scotland with two of her own wild children.
