WILD SHOTS by Chris Packham
Accompanying a six-part Channel 4 series, this book sets out to show that anyone can take good wildlife photographs. The emphasis throughout is on creating your own photo-opportunities - in the zoo, the local park, or your own back garden or window-box. Chris Packham, a qualified zoologist, award-winning natural-history photographer and TV presenter, looks at 100 of his best photographs, combining snippets of natural history with details of how each shot was taken.Chris Packham, a TV presenter, photographer, and conservationist, is one of the country's most popular naturalists. He is most recognized for his roles on BBC's Springwatch and Autumnwatch, as well as the BAFTA-winning The Really Wild Show. Packham is president of the British Trust for Ornithology, the Hawk Conservancy Trust, the Hampshire Ornithological Society, and the Bat Conservation Trust, as well as vice-president of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Butterfly Conservation. He received the Dilys Breese Medal from the British Trust for Ornithology in 2011 for his excellent efforts in promoting science to new audiences, and the Wildscreen Panda Award for Outstanding Achievement from Wildscreen in 2016 for his commitment to wildlife filming.
